How It Works

During a coaching session I will walk by your side to help you to reach your ultimate goal and aspirations. I will listen to you, ask questions, find out what your challenges are and inspire you to reach that end goal.


My role as coach is to empower you, helping you to become more self-aware and unlocking your potential.

Coaching is simply an approach that is used to empower individuals and help them reach their goals; it is a structured conversation between you as the Client and myself as the Coach.

​

Coaching is all about unlocking your potential to maximize your own performance (be it at work or in life generally) and it helps you to learn rather than me telling you what to do.

​

The main principle is that you as client have all the answers within yourself, and my role as coach is to provide a framework and ask you the right questions to support as you make progress in a manner and at a speed that suits you.


So how will we work together?

​

  • For coaching to be successful a high level of rapport needs to be in place, as the trust felt between the coach and the client is the foundation for all good coaching conversations. So I will make sure that we have the right ‘chemistry’ in place before we agree to any coaching sessions together.

​

  • Usually after the (free of charge) introductory coaching session we will have 6 coaching sessions  (lasting 45-60 minutes each) over a period of 3-6 months.

​

  • We can meet on Zoom or face to face (or a mix of the two).

​

  • We will discuss your goals, your challenges and where you would like to be in a few years’ time. I will ask you how challenging you would like me to be and explain that you need to be accountable for any actions you decide to take.

​

  • We may use different tools such as DISC personality profiling, an inspirational leadership assessment or the ‘Wheel’ of Life.

​

  • Usually I will use a conversation structure in our sessions (called ‘GROW’) and will be asking you to ‘notice what you notice’ and stay curious in between sessions.

​

  • As the sessions come to an end we will reflect back on your increased self-awareness, what you have learnt on the coaching journey, and what you will do differently from now on.

​

Each set of coaching sessions will be bespoke to suit you – either in the corporate or life environment (recognising that one area impacts on the other enormously).
